ME = Senior Camera engineer... probably not
I have a senior camera engineer interview coming up tomorrow and am reading up stuff on it. It is such a surprise that I was chosen for an interview. The requirements are pretty stringent. 10 years of experience in camera technology... Now I am a person who would like an entry level position... Not that I shy away from responsibilty but leading a team of camera engineers and and knowing all thats to know about cameras is a bit too much. Even the job profile is threatning to say the least. Candidates are supposed to know
Characteristics of Low, Medium, and High Tier CMOS Sensors.Processing the image data- adjusting and improving the picture for noise suppression, lens distortion, Fixed Pattern Noise, Dark Current, Smear, etc.Onboard DSP capabilities and tuning versus offboard DSP capabilities.Display of the image data; including transforms from Bayer, YcbCr or other formats to RGBOptimization of the display based on the LCD characteristics (transmissivity, relflectance, TFT, CSTN, etc.)Processing the image for storage (JPEG compression)Industry standards for evaluating cameras (Gretag Macbeth color chart, etc.)
What was the HR thinking when she sheduled me for an interview.
I hope the interviewer dosent hang up 5 minutes into the interview realising that I am probably not the right fit for the post. :(
